Highlights from our Melomanes MSCA consortium meeting in Cambridge (March 2026)

🚀 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 Melomanes MSCA 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 (March 2026)

From 𝟭𝟲 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟬 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵, #Melomanes community came together once again in Cambridge for our 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 — a week full of science, collaboration, and inspiration!

✨ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹?

🔹 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 – 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Our Doctoral Researchers kicked off the week with a hands-on communication workshop led by Sofia Gaio, exploring public engagement through interactive outreach activities across the streets of Cambridge.
                 

🔹 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 & 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 – 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 & 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺
The core of the consortium meeting brought together partners, Principal Investigators, and our External Advisory Board.
After opening remarks by our coordinator Cécilia Ménard-Moyon and the project manager Johanne Desbief, our Doctoral Researchers presented their latest research results, sparking insightful discussions and exchanges.
                        

On Wednesday afternoon, we had the opportunity to take par t in a policy foresight workshop led by Laurent Bontoux and Ayush Shukla, exploring future scenarios in melanoma research — a truly inspiring session!
            
🔹 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 – 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁
The week continued with:
🎙️ A second communication workshop, including #podcast recordings to make our research accessible to a wider audience

💡 An innovation & entrepreneurship training led by @CNT Ltd, helping our researchers develop key business and pitching skills (Bojan Boskovic & Ana Bankovic Cassidy)

🌿 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲… 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀!
From a lovely dinner at The Millworks by the river, to a fun mini-golf session and the traditional Cambridge 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 for the DRs under the sun — these moments made the week even more memorable.
