The Cyprus Institute (CyI) is a European, non-profit science and technology educational and research institution based in Cyprus; herein, the Computation-based Science and Technology Research Centre (CaSToRC) serves to combine a supercomputing infrastructure with research and education in computational and data science (MSc and PhD). Research focuses on lattice gauge simulations, multi-scale computational modelling of materials, climate modelling, computational biology and medical imaging, prototyping activities, etc. CaSToRC is designated the national HPC Competence Centre of Cyprus within the European network of National Competence Centres under the EuroHPC JU. CaSToRC is linked to Novamechanics through their participation and collaboration in training events and hackathons, and through their use of CyI computational infrastructure for research projects.
